Today was a rest day back home in Lexington. Stephen spent the night with us and this morning I took him to the airport in Louisville where he flew back home to Annapolis. It was great riding with and getting to know Stephen–very cool guy. He will be coming back next year to do a week or two more of the trip starting from Berea–I may take a couple days off and ride a day or two with him.
After dropping him at the airport, I stopped by the college just to check in and make sure they hadn’t given my office away–looks like it’s still there 🙂 Then drove back home and took June and Tori to the Lexington airport where they flew to Myrtle Beach to see the grandkids. Tomorrow morning I’ll get a ride to Berea and will head out again for the remaining 3,500 or so miles to the Oregon coast.
I have recorded a lot of video and will be doing something with it once I complete the trip and have time to go through it and do some editing, but I’ve included some short clips below for now. The first video is when I was still sick with a stomach bug and hadn’t eaten in three days….in the rest I was feeling much better. Enjoy! 🙂
