I’ll be using this blog to post updates as I ride my bicycle across America 4,300 miles from Yorktown, VA to Astoria OR following the TransAmerica Bicycle Route. I’ll be leaving from Yorktown on May 26th crossing 10 States and climbing a lot of mountains…I plan to finish by the 3rd or 4th week of July. Should be an adventure!
I wasn’t going to blog during my trip, but have had a lot of people wanting to know how they could keep up with my adventure, so I decided to set this up and see how it goes. I’ve read about several people who blogged during their trip and them talking about how it almost became a job–some of them spending hours a day updating their blog. Well, that’s not happening here 😉
I’ll post some text and picture updates here during my trip, and try to keep it updated regularly, but most likely won’t post many videos. I am taking a GoPro and will be shooting a lot of video, but will save that editing and posting of that footage for after the trip. I’ve also disabled commenting on this blog–I have zero interest in cleaning up after spammers, so I’m just putting a contact email link on here. If someone wants to contact me, ask a question, or has a burning desire to make a comment, then use that email. That way if it is legit then I’ll read it and get back to you, but if it is some spam crap, then I’ll just delete it when I get to it and it won’t matter if it takes me a couple days to get to it–at least it won’t be sitting here for others to see until I get to it.
